Trowels are widely used in renovation works. Plastering trowels are designed to apply and smooth lime and gypsum plasters, while notched trowels to apply adhesives. U-shaped notches are solely for application of semi-liquid glues. Slightly different is the role of Venetian trowel – the one with rounded corners. It is to apply and finish Venetian plaster.
